Motorcycle – As The Rush Comes (Gabriel & Dresden Chillout Mix)

Imagine deserted roads getting lost between misty hills. From above, a lonely car is like the sun among the clouds. Somewhere, a song is playing. A voice descends from the cold heavens. The sound flows like tame rivers.

A song to float on. To travel, to let go, to dream, to calm down, to disconnect, to imagine on.

Also, this is one of those cases where the remix is clearly better than the original (this is, of course, a subjective opinion).

    “Traveling somewhere
    Could be anywhere
There’s a coldness in the air
    But I don’t care
    We drift deeper
    Life goes on
    We drift deeper
    Into the sound”

  • Andre Michelle – Construct Infinity

    Andre Michelle – Construct Infinity

Because there are fewer layers of sound, minimal techno is a genre that relies heavily on beat construction. Since it’s techno we’re listening to, repetitive beats are easy to notice and can become unnerving. So, the scenery needs to change often. This song is a shining example of just how much carefully chosen isolated sounds and shifting tonalities can do to the melody.

    Phutureprimitive – Cryogenic Dreams

Sweeping melodies and an adventurous bass line contribute to this song’s exploratory mood. Let the vibe flow and energize this moment.

  • Vitalic – One Above One

    Vitalic – One Above One

Welcome to a happy synth-fest, made even happier through contrast with the robotized singer. What about the song’s title? Cryptic wisdom is sometimes more awakening than wisdom, but perhaps I’m putting too much thought into a dance song. In any case, this is a piece that tempts the moving muscles as well as the thinking ones.

“One in the single and the first degree.
    One Above One for eternity.
No unit or triad, source or cause for the one, super one, this is the one above those”

  • Yaima – Our Game

    Yaima – Our Game

Wisdom finds all sorts of ways to trickle through society. Albeit soothing and dreamy, this song’s slow rhythm is full of intent. The singer’s soft voice is precisely what these words of awakening need to be carried on.

    “Oh
Now the tables have turned and the scales even
And the illusion breaking at the seams and
the feathers and problems and prisons of the past
Will be pushed under the table never
meant to last and we grow in numbers day by day
Familiar smile born each phase in my love in my love
And all at once but one by one they heard the call simple as song
Saying when would you like to leave it all behind
You can quit all your sorrows and lose
track of time and jump in and surrender
Wash it all away jump in and remember this is our game
    My love”
