The Prodigy – Climbatize

With its almost ritualistic mood, this 90s big beat electro masterpiece exhibits some amazing use of percussion, meshed together with a highly energetic and uplifting soundscape. Stand up, close your eyes and move your body.

This song comes from one awesome album (“The Fat of the Land”). I strongly recommend giving a spin to the entire thing.

Ganga Giri – Don’t Follow The Guru

Behind this playful melody lies a wise message. I can think of a few other Ganga Giri songs that have more impressive instrumentals, but this one is perfect just as it is. Perhaps laughing at wisdom is the wisest thing one can do in the face of wisdom.

“Don’t follow that guru – you are the guru!”

You can listen to the melody for free, in good quality, on BandCamp, which is one of the best websites when it comes to supporting artists. You can also purchase the song (or album) from this same location. And in case you’re wondering, yes, I did purchase Ganga Giri’s album :).

Sync24 – Dance Of The Droids

This is one song where the rather lengthy intro is totally worth it and does a great job of laying the ground for the coming of the mighty dancing droids. The melody sparkles to life soon enough, like a champagne that was rattled for far too long.

It doesn’t take long for the “opposing forces” to show up. To contrast the happy tinkling come the rowdy bass worms. These party animals waste no time in burying deep into the eardrum. They proceed and engage in a thoroughly good time. As the song progresses, the lows get lower and the melody becomes a panorama of a shifting canvas of well-rounded sound textures.

It’s one of the best songs I’ve heard this 2017.

Ganga Giri – Travelling Too

Even from the first listen, this song’s atmosphere surrounded and enthralled me. The old man recounting memories of his beautiful moments on this Earth is a perfect enhancer for the music. A relentless didgeridoo is accompanied by powerful vibes while the tribal chants echo from all sides. Oh yes, the tribal vibe is strong with this one.

You might want to check out the fan-made YouTube video too.

“You can hear them sing
You can see them dance
Feel the rhythm
Feel the beat…

You could see them moving in the moonlight night
You could see them dancing in the moonlight night”

Apollo 440 – Liquid Cool

Strap yourself in and get ready for a passionate sound adventure. Apollo 440 is back on the menu with their longest song ever. Honestly, nothing shorter than 12 minutes would work for this beautifully inventive melody.

There are at least three major movements here, as Apollo 440 takes you on a journey of deep sound and intense, diverse vocals. As a bonus, this melody is also highly danceable.

“He who lives these words
Shall not taste death
Becoming nothing, yeah, yeah
Forever liquid cool…”
